Beatrice A. Jones, age 71, of Thurston Woods Village, Sturgis, Michigan died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 12:50 P.M. She was born on August 14, 1937 in Elgin, Illinois to George Paul & Teresa (Young) Miller. she married Marvin R. Jones Sr on April 12, 1958 in LaGrange, Indiana. He preceeded her in death on April 15, 1993. Beatrice was previously employed in the Houskeeping Department at Millers Merry Manor in LaGrange, Indiana. She later started her business as a maid service in Sturgis, Michigan where she operated for many years. She formerly attended the Sturgis Baptist Church and the Church of the Nazarene in Sturgis, Michigan. She is survived by 1 son - Marvin R. Jones Jr and his fiance Sharleye Rielly of Sturgis, Michigan. 1 daughter - Starr L. & (Doug) Darren Tharp of Muncie, Indiana. 1 step-daughter - Marvel Ray & (Rick) Frye of Texas. 4 sisters - Alicia Potter of Lexington, Kentucky, Geoorgian Smith of Middlebury, Indiana, Marlene Coney and Pamela Perrin both of Illinois. 11 grandchildren - Phillip M. Tharp, Sarah L. Tharp, Hannah L. Tharp, Jessica (Jones) Ernsberger, PFC Tyler S. Jones U.S.M.C., Marvin R. Jones III, Morgan J. Jones, Christian S. Gibbs, Jessica A. Parrigin, Candace L. Salmons and Cody T. Salmons. 6 great-grandchildren - Brian M. Ernsberger, Darren M. Tharp, Carter M. Ernsberger, Katherine S. Tharp, Haley D. Parrigin and Preston T. Parrigin. She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, step-mother - Betty Chupp, 1 sister - Carol Humble, 1 son - George Jones. Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 15, 2009 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. at the funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Pastor John Shoup of the Sturgis Nazarene Church, Sturgis, Michigan. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange, Indiana.
