Doris Eileen Parsons, age 63, died Monday February 16, 2009 at 8:30 P.M. at 311 E. Spring Street., LaGrange, Indiana. She was born on December 14, 1945 in Adrian, Michigan to Russell L. and Helen E. (Nawell) Yenor. She married Joseph E. Parsons on September 25, 1976 at the Lima Presbytarian Church in Howe, Indiana. Mrs. Parson was previously emplyed in the office at Jayco in Middlebury for five years. She left there to become involved in the transportation industry. She was a bus driver for a period of time and then became a long-haul truck driver for the remaining of her career. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary Post #215 in LaGrange, Indiana. She is survived by her Husband, parents, 1 son - Randy Lee Lumbardo of Defiance, Ohio, 2 daughters - Robin Wise of Middlebury, Indiana and Kristy K. Lumbardo of Napolean, Ohio. 2 sisters - Dana & (Dan) Caseman of Altha, Florida and Debra & (Marty) Dils of Bellevue, Nebraska. 5 Grandchildren - Kendra Hopper of Shipshewana, Indiana, Sierra Lumbardo and Seth Lumbardo both of Defiance, Ohio, Luis Mendoza and Rosa Mendoza both of Napolean, Ohio. 5 Great grandchildren - Caleb Morgan and Braedon Yoder both of Shipshewana, Indiana, Kalista Mendoza, Mikey Mendoza and Ablonia Mendoza all of Napolean, Ohio. Visitation will be from 2 - 6 P.M. on Saturday February 21, 2009 at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 P.M. during the visitation on Saturday with the Pastor Bill Birch of the Lima Presbyterian Church, Howe, IN officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to the LaGrange County Cancer Society.
