Betty J. Lammon, age 81, of 770 N 075 E., LaGrange, Indiana died Sunday December 14, 2008 at Life Care Center of LaGrange. She was born on March 11, 1927 in Toledo, Ohio to Russell K. & Martha S. (Noel) Field. She married Clifford S. Lammon on October 19, 1968 in Toledo, Ohio. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1981. Betty had worked as a secretary on the Automotive Industry in Toledo, Ohio for many years. At one time, she was also a stock-car driver for the company where she worked. She was a former member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sturgis, Michigan and the American Legion Post #512 Ladies Auxillary in Toledo, Ohio. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved crocheting, gardening and bingo. She moved to LaGrange in the early nineties. She is survived by; 2 daughters - Susan Koehler of Shipshewana, Indiana and Nancy Russell & Harry Pelegreve of Sturgis, Michigan. 2 sons - Thomas & (Nancy) Allred of Toledo, Ohio and Gary & (Tammy) Allred of Toledo, Ohio. 1 sister - Sister Eileen Otting of Massachusettes. 2 brothers - Russell & (Ann) Field of Toledo, Ohio and Bob Otting of Toledo, Ohio. 5 Grandchildren - Julie & (Phillip) Holderman of Lake City, Florida, Scott Jones of Kokomo, Indiana, Lisa Allred of Toledo, Ohio, Crystal Pringle of Toledo, Ohio and Gary Allred II of Toledo, Ohio. 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and several brothers and sisters. Private services were held on Monday December 15, 2008 at the Funeral Home. According to her wishes, cremation will take place.
