Walter E. Davis, age 62, of 5835 N 210 W., Howe, Indiana died Tuesday December 9, 2008 at 12:32 P.M. at his residence. He was born on February 1, 1946 in Greenfield, Ohio to Robert & Sarah Jane (Mootispaw) Davis. He married Debra Poynter on August 22, 1986 in Howe, Indiana. Mr. Davis was one of the original investors/owners of the Greenfield Research Industries in Howe, Indiana and was an integral part of the daily operations of the business. After retiring from GRI, he was a sales associate for the Howe-LaGrange Agency in Howe, Indiana retiring from there in the nineties. He was a former member of the Howe Lions Club, the Northeast Indiana Real Estate Association, The LaGrange County Sewer Board and the LaGrange County Chamber of Commerce. After his retirement, he spent his later years with his wife and 3 dogs in Howe, Indiana. He is survived by his wife - Debra Davis of Howe, Indiana; 2 sons - Mark Allen & (Janet) Davis of Knoxville, Tennessee, Shawn Patrick Davis of Sabina, Ohio; 2 daughters - Alana Michelle & (Richard) Bryant of Greenfield, Ohio and Leann Davis of Hillsboro, Ohio; 1 step-daughter - Michelle Lynn & (Brett) Heffernan of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 1 brother - John T. & (Lisa) Davis of Midway, Ohio; 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents, 1 brother - Robert Davis; 2 sisters - Pat Pinwell and Barb Fleming.
