Sherman Smith, age 57, of Van Wert, Ohio and formerly
of LaGrange, died Wednesday November 19, 2008 at 1:49 A.M. at the Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert, Ohio. He was
born on March 4, 1951 in Hueysville, Kentucky to Joseph & Gertrude (Beverly) Smith. He is survived by 2 sons - Sherman E. & (Joy) Smith of Kentucky and Robert & (Lindsay) Smith of
Ashley, Indiana. 2 daughters - Amy Smith and Shelly Mills both of Kentucky. 5 brothers - Thurmon &
(Shirley) Smith of Sturgis, Michigan, Truman & (Charlene) Smith of LaGrange, Indiana, Roy & (Patricia) Smith of Mongo,
Indiana, Gary & (Melinda) Smith of Convoy, Ohio and Larry & (Arlene) Smith of LaGrange, Indiana. 2 sisters
- Meletha Fields of Lottscreek, Kentucky and Dorothy & (Merle) Dettrow of Van Wert, Ohio. 11 grandchildren - Cody
Smith, Bevan Smith, Brian Blue, Seth Smith, Zack Waltz, Bryanna Smith, Brandon Waltz, Trebor Smith, Tanner Smith, Erik
Smith and Lonnie Mills. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother - Aaron Smith. Visitation will be held at the Ontario Congregational Church in Ontario, Indiana starting at 4:00
P.M., Friday, November 21, 2008 and will continue until the Funeral Service at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday November 22,
2008. A church service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Friday during visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Smith Family.
