NEW BEDFORD: Desiderio M. Frias, 55, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospital, after a period of declining health. He was the son of Miguel Frias and Alda (Farias) Frias.

He was born in Santo Antonio, Alem Capelas, St. Miguel, Azores, a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. He was employed at Brick Layer Local Union # 3, as a Mason.

Danny Brother B, loved and enjoyed sports, Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics and specially the Patriots. He loved his football!!!! He was a member of numerous Clubs, his favorite was Ponta Delgada Club. He used to play darts.
One thing he loved was to dance!! he made people laugh. He was such a great person with a big HEART!! Danny will be missed.

Survivors include; his parents of New Bedford; a son Desi D. Frias of New Bedford; his companion Debra A. Fournier of New Bedford; two brothers Michael Farias and his wife Connie, John Farias and his companion Debbie both of New Bedford; two sisters Maria Santo Cristo Medeiros and her husband Alexandre Duarte of New Bedford, Connie Sa and her husband Leonardo of Acushnet; several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, August 21 from 5 to 8 PM, at the Cabral Baylies Square-Lamoureux Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 512 No. Front Street, New Bedford. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services on Thursday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, 136 Earle Street, New Bedford. Cremation will follow.

Danny was strong male father figure in my life for many years. My heart is broken and filled with sadness after hearing the news of his passing. I shall keep his family in my prayers as you watch over them all in their of grief Lord. Rest in piece Desiderio Frias 🙏❤

My prayer our with you all I have seen him in manny year since he was kind my prayers our with his mom and dad and sister tooit sad lose child but god will make and give strength for then be strong
