Joe Strong, 71, of English, Indiana, died on September 6, 2019 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on November 2, 1947 in Jackson, Kentucky to the late Robert L. Strong Sr. and Jane (Coomer) Strong.
He was a former ceramic tile setter and talented carpenter. He loved to raise a garden, an avid fisherman, and loved to make maple syrup.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Robert and David Strong.
He is survived by his wife: Helen S. (Jewell) Strong; sons: Robert L. Strong III (Denise) of Hardinsburg, Indiana and Shannon Strong (Shannon Goss) of Bradenburg, Kentucky; a brother, Tommy D. Strong (Betty) of Louisville, KY; and grandchildren, Blake A. Strong and Savannah Strong.
Cremation was chosen and there will be no services.
Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana is entrusted with the arrangements.
