Jessie K. Higdon, 83, of Milltown, Indiana died on January 26, 2019 at Baptist Health- Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on May 6, 1935 in Leitchfield, Kentucky to the late Edgar and Florence (Langdon) Higdon.
He was a spray painter for Louisville Tin and Stove and was an Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the Milltown American Legion Post #332.
He is survived by his sons: John Higdon of New Albany, Indiana, Jessie E. Higdon of Paoli, Indiana, and Joseph R. Higdon of Milltown, Indiana; a brother, Clarence Higdon of Jeffersonville, Indiana; sisters, Frances Skaggs of New Albany, Indiana and Millie Cook of Leitchfield, Kentucky; grandchildren: Johnnie Sue Elliott, James, Jessie, Dorothy, Jessica, Jon, Hope and Faith Higdon; and great-grandchildren: Taeghan Deitsch and Tannar Chumbley.
A memorial service will be on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until time of the service at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen, following Jessie’s wishes.
Bro. Morris Larimore will officiate the service.
