Lester G. Winters, 89, of Hardinsburg, Indiana died on December 14, 2018 at University of Louisville Hospital. He was born on September 30, 1929 in Lockport, Kentucky to the late Willie D. and Susie Mae (Gilbert) Winters.
He was a former welder and foreman at Jeff Boat, a carpenter, and an evangelist over 25 years of the Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his baby daughter- Debra Kay; brothers, James, Gilbert, and Charles Winters.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Norma J. Winters; sons: David Winters (Judy) of Lanesville, IN, Ed Winters (Sandy) of Pleasureville, KY, Mike Winters, Phillip Winters, and Paul Winters (Bobbie) all of Hardinsburg, IN; daughters: Wanda Winters of Clarksville, IN, Darlene Carraher of Sellersburg, IN and Susan Gutierrez of Arizona; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-granchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren; also a stepson, Tim Stephenson (Angie) and step-daughters: Patty Wyman (Bob) and Sherry Fow (Jerry) all of Milltown, IN; 7 step-grandchildren; and 4 step-great-grandchildren.
Lester gave his heart to the Lord when his young and he served the Lord as a minister for 65 years. His whole life has been his church work and his family.
Funeral services will be on Monday; December 17, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN. Interment will follow in the Union Chapel Cemetery near Milltown, IN.
Bro. Steve Lang will officiate the service.
Visitation will be on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 2-8 pm and after 9:00 am until the service on Monday, all at the funeral home.
