Fred Lovell (Bro. Love) Logsdon, 81, of Milltown, Indiana, died on December 7, 2018 at Harrison Healthcare Center in Corydon, Indiana. He was born on February 13, 1937 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Eugene and Anna Belle (Ater) Logsdon.
He was a national evangelist and a former funeral director and embalmer in Tennessee, a baker whom baked Elvis Presley’s 21st birthday cake, worked on the barge line and was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran. He was a member of the Kay’s Chapel Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George Logsdon, and a grandson, Jason Logsdon.
He is survived by his wife, Zelma L. (Gray) Logsdon of Marengo, IN; sons, Freddie L. Logsdon of English, IN, Ira L. Logsdon of St. Louis, MO, Steve E. Logsdon of Ekron, KY, and Tony L. Logsdon of Marengo, IN; daughters, Doris A. Wood of Palmyra, IN, Susan K. Logsdon of Clarksville, IN, and Gail Shafer of Milltown, IN; a brother, Sherman L. Logsdon of Salem, IN; sister-in-laws: Norma J. Massey of Georgetown, IN and Anita of Louisville, KY; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Kay’s Chapel Church, 10183 S. Kay’s Chapel Road, Fredericksburg, IN. Interment will follow in the Mather’s Chapel Cemetery near English, Indiana.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 3-8 pm at the Brown Funeral Home and on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Kay’s Chapel Church from 10:00 am until time of the service.
Bro. Barry Lee and Bill Neville will officiate the service.
