Henry R. Walerczak, 74, of Milltown, Indiana died March 24, 2018 at Baptist Health- Floyd.  He was born August 19, 1943 in Bydgoszcz, Poland to the late Henryk and Czeslawa Kazcorek Lamers.

 

He was a retired police officer having served for the New Albany Police Department and Osceola County, Florida Sheriff’s Department and was the Emergency Operations Center Coordinator for the Milltown Police Department.  He was a former salesman for Heritage Ford and Carrols Mobile Homes.  He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army.  He was a member of Hillview Christian Church.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Zbyszek and Waldy Walerczak and a sister, Katrina Lamers.

 

He is survived by his wife:  Kathleen M. Griffin Walerczak of Milltown, IN; sons:  Ronald Walerczak of Evansville, IN and Paul Walerczak of Milltown, IN; daughter, Winifred Walerczak Ferree of Lanesville, IN and 11 grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN.  Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens in Leavenworth, Indiana.

 

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Monday, March 26, 2018 and after 11:00 am until time of the service on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 all at the funeral home.

 

Bro. Bruce Hawkins will officiate the service.

 

Memorial contributions can be made to "Giving Recovery A Chance Everyday," P.O. Box 369, Marengo, IN  47140.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN.

Kathleen I'm so sorry about Henry. I thought a lot of Henry & his Mother. May God comfort you in this loss. May God Bless You. Helen

I am sorry that I won't be able to attend the visitation or funeral. The whole family is in my prayers. Henry was a wonderful man and will certainly be missed.
