Brenda Joyce (Summers) Wetzel, 72, of Marengo, Indiana died on March 17, 2018 at the home of her son, Christopher Wetzel. She was born on November 12, 1945 in Marengo, Indiana to the late Edward and Mary Catherine Chanley Summers.
She was a former caretaker for Older Americans, was a former member of the Milltown American Legion Post #332 Women’s Auxiliary and attended the Marengo Christian’s Missionary Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Frank Summers and a sister, Betty Ann Summers.
She is survived by her sons: Eddie Joe Wetzel of Marengo, IN, Lonnie (Jimmy) Wetzel (Jeanna) of Corydon, IN, Richard (Ricky) Wetzel of Marengo, IN, and Christopher Joel Wetzel (Bobbie J.) of Depauw, IN; brothers, Joe Summers of Paoli, IN and Clarence Summers of Depauw, IN; sister, Linda Longest of Clarksville, IN; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen following Joyce’s wishes. There will be no services.
Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN was entrusted with the arrangements.
