Charles G. Spencer, 73, of Mitchell, Indiana formerly of Milltown, Indiana died on January 3, 2018 at his residence. He was born on June 27, 1944 in Milltown, Indiana to the late Oval Spencer and Erma Byerly Spencer.
Charles was a member of the Mitchell First Church of God. He was a retired welder at Jeffboat and also worked at the Indiana Handle Company as a guard.
Charles was preceded in death by brothers: Marvin, Keith, Dale, and Dennis Spencer.
He is survived by sons: Robert C. Spencer of Mitchell, IN and John O. Spencer of Indianapolis, IN; daughter: Loretta M. Fain of Laconia, IN; brothers: James Spencer of Villa Ridge, IL, Jesse Spencer of Palmyra, IN, and Kenny Spencer of Milltown, IN; sisters: Janice Montgomery of Taswell, IN, Barbara Beckett of Hamilton, OH, Virginia Zahn of Sellersburg, IN, and Delores Shakleford of Piniville, KY.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN. Pastor Robert C. Courson will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Milltown Baptist Cemetery also in Milltown, IN.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Milltown.
