Wanda H. Cain Walker, 75, of Milltown, Indiana died on September 27, 2017 at Baptist Health- Floyd.  She was born on March 25, 1942 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Harry L and Ora Hamilton Cain.

 

She was a bookkeeper for over 40 years.  She was a member of the First Capital Christian Church, Milltown American Legion Auxiliary Post #332, and a national member of the VFW.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Joyce Haas, Shirley Peyton, Carla White, Linda Wright, and Janet Cain.

 

She is survived by her husband, Vernon L. Walker and son, William L. Walker (Sandra) both of Milltown, IN; a daughter, Deborah K. Dabney (Timothy) of New Albany, IN; brothers, James Cain of Corydon, IN and Kenneth Cain of Louisville, KY; sisters, Ann Hammond of New Albany, IN, Glenna Farnsley of Georgetown, IN, and Joan Hoffman of Panama City, FL; grandchildren, Joseph and Christopher Poe, Adam, Justin, and Samuel Dabney, John and Dustin Walker, Danielle Trotter, Amanda Bockting, William Walker, and Lacey McDonald; and 28 great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN.  Interment will follow in the Milltown Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be from 3-8 pm on Thursday, September 28, 2017 and after 11:00 am until time of the service all at the funeral home.

 

Jared Nassiff will officiate the service.

 

Memorial contributions can be made to Hosparus of Southern Indiana.

I am so very sorry for your loss. She was always very kind and loving to me. I am truly sorry I hadn't visited her in the last few years. I will truly miss her.
