Jimmie R. Raines, 49, died September 16, 2017 at Memorial Hospital and Health Services in Jasper, Indiana. He was born on January 15, 1968 in Jamestown, Tennessee to Carol Amonette Raines and the late Willie Raines.
He was a former security officer and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Raines; a grandchild, Harley Campbell; and grandparents, Jewel and Arville Amonette and Sam and Ora Raines.
He is survived by his mother, Carol Amonette Raines; Wife, Edna M. Raines; son James Raines all of English, IN; daughter, Amanda Raines of Marengo, IN; brothers, William Raines of Paoli, IN and Charles “Lynn” Raines of English, IN; sisters, Janice “Hope” Ridener of Taswell, IN and Patricia Raines of English, IN; and grandchildren, Jordan, Jayson, and Braxton Raines, Alyssa Holt, Alexis and Koty May Lester.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the funeral home.
Rev. Philo Jones will officiate the funeral service.
Interment will follow in the Temple Cemetery near English, IN.
Casket Bearers will be William Raines, Mike Ridener, Jamie Raines, John Gentry, James Raines, and Charles Amonette.
