Margaret A. Tower Booth, 95, of Leavenworth, Indiana, died on May 27, 2017 at University of Louisville Hospital.  She was born on March 29, 1922 in Oaktown, Indiana to the late Claude and Edna Stephenson Tower.

 

She was a former supervisor for the U.S. Census Bureau and done various jobs at the Tower Orchard near Leavenworth, Indiana.

 

She was a member of the Leavenworth Presbyterian Church, where she was an active member, serving various capacities, Eastern Star #380 in Leavenworth, and was a 4-H leader.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nicholas M. Booth; sisters, Helen Ridge, Dorothy Ewing, Mary Gibson, Jane Stonecipher, and Betty Rose Tower; brothers, Jim, Tom, John, Paul, and Claude Tower.

 

She is survived by her son, Kenneth R. Booth (Mary Lou) of Leavenworth; a daughter, Betty A. Cook (Don) of Milltown; a sister, Ruthie Recher of St. Petersburg, Florida; grandchildren, Beth Lahue (Craig), Brian Booth (Jessica), Doug Cook, and Corey Booth (Jaime); 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral service will be on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Leavenworth Community Presbyterian Church.  Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens near Leavenworth.  Pastor Mick Finch will officiate the service.

 

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Brown Funeral Home and after 10:00 am until time of the service  on Thursday at the church.

 

 

Memorial contributions can be made to the Leavenworth Community Presbyterian Church, c/o Don Cook, Treasurer, 359 N. Cook Lane, Milltown, Indiana 47145.

I send love to my Aunt's family. My weekends spent At Marg and Nick's home were so precious to me! My time with my cousins we the best. Aunt Marg always represented love and the voice of reason! Thanks for the memories.
