Martha L. Grimes Walker, 75, of Marengo, IN died on March 26, 2017 at Baptist Health-Floyd. She was born on August 9, 1941 in Orange County, IN to the late Roy Wilson and Ida Pearl Apple Grimes.
She was a former employee for the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Postal Service. She was a member of the Marengo United Methodist Church, Old Capital O.E.S. # 467, Mitchell American Legion Auxiliary Post # 250, and a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post # 9107.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sherrie C. Gresham; and brothers, Leroy and William Grimes.
She is survived by her husband, Keith W. Walker of Marengo, IN; a son, Eric W. Walker (Cindy) of Mackey, IN; a daughter, Sheila C. Arthur (Wally) of Woodbine, Georgia; brother, Roy Gene Grimes of Paoli, IN; sister, Janet Guinn of Corydon, IN; grandchildren, Stephen Gresham and Jonathan Walker; and a great grandchild, Riley Gresham.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 4-8 pm and after 9:00 am until time of the service on Wednesday all at the funeral home.
Pastor Ralph Newkirk will officiate the service.
Interment will follow in the Apple Chapel Cemetery near Paoli, IN.
Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN is entrusted with the arrangements.
