Brittie Ellen Jenkins Knight, 93, of Marengo, IN died on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, IN. She was born on April 30, 1923 in Crawford County, IN to the late Lonnie and Mary Hawkins Jenkins.
She was a former cutodian at the Crawford County High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Knight; a son, James Richard Knight; brothers, Russell and Floyd Jenkins; and a sister, Lula Rodgers.
She is survived by her sons, Donald Knight of Marengo, IN and Gary Knight of Indianapolis, IN; a daughter, Wanda Knight of Marengo, IN; sisters, Jaunita Cole of Leavenworth, IN and Gertrude Cole of New Albany, IN; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 4-8 pm and after 9:00 am until time of the service on Wednesday.
Rev. Philo Jones will officiate the service.
Interment will follow in the Batman Ridge Cemetery near Milltown, IN.
