James V. Schaffer, 65, of Greenville, IN died on May 24, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN. He was born on January 10, 1951 in Louisville, KY to the late William Bannard and Rhelda Marie Rutledge Schaffer.
He was a self-employed contractor and owner of Schaffer Contracting. He attended the Milltown Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jason Daniel Schaffer, and a brother, Sonny.
He is survived by his wife, Regina S. Schaffer; sons, James B. Schaffer of New Salisbury, IN and Michael Adam Schaffer of Greenville, IN; daughters, Melissa Ann Masterson (Frankie) of New Salisbury, IN, Constance Leigh Phillips (Todd) of Milltown, IN, and Laura Beth Luther of Greenville, IN; brothers, Wayne, Jerry, Steven, and Terry; sisters, Gloria, Faye, Debbie, Cindy, Beverly, and Linda; 16 granchildren.
The funeral service will be on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Milltown Christian Church.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm on Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Brown Funeral Home and after 11:00 am until time of the service at the church on Saturday.
Pastor Delvin Sweeney will officiate the service.
Interment will follow in the Milltown Cemetery.
