Curtis R. Bowles, 89, of English, IN died Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the Paoli Health and Living Community.  He was born on November 26, 1926 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Gilbert Riley Bowles and Cora Lois Atkins Enlow.

 

He was a former district manager for RCA in Evansville, IN; owner-operator of the 64 Market in Taswell, IN for 43 years; and a farmer.  He was a Army Veteran having served in WWII and was a member of the Fairview General Baptist Church and English VFW Post #6160.

 

He is survived by his wife, Claris L. Gilliatt Bowles of English, IN; sons, Fredrick J. Bowles of Taswell, IN, Darrell C. Bowles of English, IN, and John D. Bowles of Marengo, IN; a daughter, Teresa A. Campbell of English, IN; a brother, James E. Enlow of Taswell, IN; a sister, Joyce Lane of Newburgh, IN; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

 

The funeral service will be on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fairview General Baptist Church near Taswell, IN.

 

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 4-8 pm and after 12:00 pm until time of the service at 1:00 pm all at the church.

 

Pastor Joe Crowe will officiate the service.

 

Interment will follow in the Eastridge-Fairview Cemetery near Taswell, IN.

 

Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN is entrusted with the arrangements.
