Norma E. Walters Stroud, 83, of Marengo, IN, died on July 8, 2015 at her residence.  She was born on April 9, 1932 in Milltown, IN to the late Arthur and Pearl Swarens Walters.  

 

She was a former inspector for Smiths Factory in Salem, IN  and was a member of the Marengo Christians Missionary Church.

 

She is survived by her son, Lance E. Stroud of Milltown, IN; a daughter, Laura J. Melton of Milltown, IN; her sister, Callie Zimmerman of Corydon, IN; grandchildren, Lonnie E. Stroud of Paoli, IN, Lucas E. Stroud and Shawna M. Melton both of Milltown, IN; and great-grandchildren, Logan, Landen, Liam, Ellie, and Emmy Stroud, Tyler S. Melton, Dustin J. Hedden, and Wyatt B. Farris.

 

The funeral service will be on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN.

 

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 5-9 pm and after 11:00 am until time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.

 

Rev. Morris Larimore will officiate the service.

 

Interment will follow in the Marengo Cemetery.

 

Memorial Contributions can be made to the Orange County Humane Society, 856 N. Greenbriar Dr., Paoli, IN  47454 and/or to the Kosair Children’s Fund, 982 Eastern Pkwy., Louisville, KY  40217.
