Jesse J. (Pete) Smitley, 78, of Leavenworth, IN died Friday, April 10, 2015 at Harrison County Hospital. He was born on November 9, 1936 in Beechwood, IN to the late Jesse H. and Mary Morgan Smitley.
He was a retired laborer for Othem Klem Cabinet Factory in St. Anthony, IN having served for 21 years. He was a member of the Borden Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death besides his parents, by his wife, June Wright Smitley; a daughter, Mary Ann Smitley Bronson; a brother, Gene Smitley; and a sister, Mary Ruth Dowling.
He is survived by a son, Mark Wright of Birdseye, IN and five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
Rev. Kevin Stilwell will officiate the service.
Interment will follow in the Bethany Union Cemetery near Mifflin, IN.
Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN was entrusted with the arrangements.
