James W. “Jim” Byrum, 76, of Marengo, IN died on November 8, 2014 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born on November 28, 1937 in Marengo, IN to the late William H. and Erma Zahnd Byrum.
He was retired from the customer accounting department with Louisville Gas and Electric and attended Rock Springs Community Church. He served in the Army Reserves.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sisters, Billie Key and Sharon Cline.
He is survived by his wife, the former Shelvia J. Bowman and sons, Doug Byrum of English, IN and Fred Byrum of Milltown, IN; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 10, 2014 from 3-8 pm and after 9:00 am until time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Bro. Harvey McAdams will officiate the service.
Interment will follow in the Marengo Cemetery.
Brown Funeral Home in Milltown was entrusted with the arrangements.
