Ronald W. Spencer, 76, passed from this life on November 25, 2013 at the Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, IN. He was born on March 26, 1937 in Huntingburg, IN to the late Guy W. and Opal L. Hall Spencer.
Ronald was a retired supervisor for General Electric in Louisville, KY. He was a member of the Milltown United Methodist Church, Democrat Whiskey Run Township Trustee for 42 years, served on the Milltown Fire Department for 25 years, 10 year president of the Milltown Alumni, coached biddy ball with Jack Gibbs and basketball with Mr. Bill Breeden at Milltown Grade School, and coached his grandchildren at Crawford County High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Todd Spencer; and a brother, Donald Spencer.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ladorra A. Stephenson Spencer of Milltown, IN; a son, Troy W. Spencer of Marengo, IN; a daughter, Tamara Lee of Depauw, IN; a sister, Janice Lyskowinski of Lanesville, IN; and grandchildren, Spencer Griswold, Meagan Spencer, and Remi Griswold.
The funeral service will be on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm on Friday, November 29, 2013 and after 9:00 am until time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Rev. Philo Jones will officiate the service.
Interment will follow in the Milltown Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions can be given to the American Cancer Society or to the Milltown Alumni Scholarship Fund.
