Robert J. “Wag” Wagner, 75, passed from this life on October 17, 2013 at the Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN. He was born on June 16, 1938 in New Albany, IN to the late Therman J. and Mabel Hensler Wagner.
He was a retired clerk for the Norfolk-Southern Railroad for over 42 years. He was also inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame in Louisville, KY.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel E. Wagner of Marengo, IN; sons, Jeff Wagner of Farmland, IN and Scott Wagner M.D. of Fort Wayne, IN; step-sons: Michael Nickelson of Corydon, IN and Tim and Rodney Nickelson both of Marengo, IN; daughter, Angela Wagner-Billups of Clarksville, IN and step-daughter, Deanna Leamons of Corydon, IN; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and step grandchildren.
The funeral service will be on Sunday; October 20, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN.
The visitation will be on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 2-8 pm and after 9:00 am until time of the service on Sunday.
Bro. Mark Bye will officiate the service.
Interment will follow on Monday at the SCI Kraft-Graceland Cemetery in New Albany, IN.
Brown Funeral Home in Milltown was entrusted with the arrangements.
