Duane L. Sturgeon, 65, died March 26, 2013 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born on November 20, 1947 in Beechwood, IN to the late Maxey Leroy and Irene Bea Francis Sturgeon.
He was a truck driver for over 44 yrs. transporting for Roman-Haas and Fed-Ex. He was a member of the Hillview Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Rice Sturgeon; sons, Brian Sturgeon of Louisville, KY, Jason Sturgeon (Valerie) of Milltown, IN, James Sturgeon of Coralville, Iowa, and Zach Sturgeon of Milltown, IN; daughters, Claudia Johnson (Gary) of Prospect, KY and Stacy Kennedy of La Grange, KY; a brother, Rex Sturgeon of Belle Plaine, Kansas; a sister, Reva Wilkins of Leavenworth, IN; grandchildren, Jake, Sam, Noah, Reese, Maddyson, Ian, Alexia, Justin, Kyle, Whitney, Ally, and Aaron.
The funeral will be on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Hillview Christian Church.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 29, 2013 from 2-8 pm and after 9:00 am until time of the service on Saturday at the church.
Pastors Earl Mullins and Bobby Kelly will officiate.
