Darrell Robert Byerly, 90, of Marengo, IN died Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN.  He was born on March 10, 1922 in Milltown, IN to the late William W. and Eva Byerly Byerly.  He was a former die setter for General Electric Company in Louisville, KY and was a Army Air Force Veteran having served in World War II.  He was a member of the Marengo Christian Church, Marengo American Legion Post # 84, and the Milltown Masonic Lodge # 661.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Deani Elrod Byerly and Pearl Deckard Byerly; his children, Vivian and William Byerly; several brothers and sisters.

He was survived by sons, Darrell O. Byerly of Greenville, IN, Robert M. Byerly of Marengo, IN, Glenn Hughes of Palm City, FL; daughters, Iris J. Poe of Marengo, IN, Linda Lou Howell of Greenwood, IN, Bobbie Hollen of Indianapolis, IN, Donna Gorton of Burke, VA, and Kay Centofonti of Round Rock, TX; and grandchildren, Cheryl Cunningham, Jerri Adams, Nathan Byerly, John Byerly, Jane Byerly, Kevin Batman, Tim Batman, Linda Batman, Michael Hollen, Greg Hollen, Tracy Cullen, Tiffany Asha, Jennifer Hughes, Jason Hughes, Jill Mueller, Scott Centofonti, Stephanie Centofonti, and Matthew Centofonti; 18 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Marengo Christian Church.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Saturday, December 15, 2012 and after 10:00 am until Noon at the Brown Funeral Home, Milltown, IN and after 12:30 pm until time of the service on Sunday at the Marengo Christian Church.

Interment will follow in the Milltown Cemetery.

Bro. Ben Underhill and Bro. Bruce Hawkins will officiate.

Masonic Rites will be given by the Milltown Masonic Lodge #661 on Saturday at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Military graveside rites will be performed by the Marengo American Legion Post #84.
