It is with deep sympathy, we announce the passing of Mr. Rennie McCreary of Centre, AL, who transitioned on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the age of 56.  We ask that you please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Rennie McCreary was born on July 2, 1965, to Annie Mae Jenkins in New York City, New York.

He confessed Christ at an early age at the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, under the leadership of Reverend Walter E. Ellis.

His early education was in the public school system of New York City before completing his education in the Montgomery School System.  He enjoyed playing basketball, his favorite football teams were Florida State and the San Francisco 49ers, he was also a licensed traveling Barber.

He was joined in holy matrimony to Sammie  Kay Glass a.k.a SHAWTY on June 27, 2001.

Rennie had a contagious personality and never met a stranger.  He was known to give people a nickname.  His very famous sayings were (“MERCY "& "MY NICCA")

Rennie crossed the Jordan River on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Riverview Regional  Medical Center.  With his mother Annie Mae Jenkins to follow 5 days later Sunday, September 5, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly McCreary; his grandparents, Samuel and Esther McCreary; nephew, Jermol Garrett; and niece, Ebony Hendricks; his in-laws, Samuel  & Finous Glass;  brother in love, Kenneth Glass; and sister, in love Patricia Myles.

He leaves to cherish his many memories a soulmate of 28 years, Sammie Kay McCreary, Leesburg AL; three children whom he loved as his own, Shannon Stubbs (Christy), Centre AL; Shenetha Stubbs, Leesburg, AL; Shaunta Stubbs(William Sr.Wright), Rome GA; seven grandchildren, K`Von Stubbs, Leesburg, AL, Airman First Class Aniya Mitchell, Las Vegas, Nevada, Ashia Fife, Rome GA, Matthew Trotter, Nashville, TN, Samantha Stubbs, Centre, AL, Braylen and William Wright Jr.,  Rome, GA; two sisters, Alfreda Garrett and Beverley Scott, both of Montgomery AL; brother and sister in love Kim Glass (Regina) Birmingham, AL; brother in love, Edward Myles, Atmore, AL, 12 nieces and nephews 15 great nieces nephews, 5 aunts and uncles special friends, Derrick Jones, Mike Jones, Stokes Spencer, Darrious Ellis, Malcolm Chambers, Jackie Dupree, Elliott Johnson, Elijah Fowler a host of cousins, adopted grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many many friends who loved him and will miss him dearly.
