It is with heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Ms. Erma J. Jones, of Gadsden, AL., who transitioned on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the age of 59.  We ask that you please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers.

We come today to celebrate the life of Erma Jean Jones, who transitioned on August 26, 2021.

Erma was born on December 23, 1961, to Luenette Melton-Jones and J.D. Jones in Sprott, Alabama.  

Erma accepted Christ at a young age and united with Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Sprott, Alabama. She graduated from East Perry High School. She later moved to Gadsden, AL.

She is preceded in death by, her mother Luenette Melton- Jones; her brother,  Jerry Lee Jones;  two children,  Jimmy Lee Jones and Jeanette Jones; and one grandchild, Malaysia Jones.

Erma leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Arthur (Shameka) Jones, Newbern, AL; Lutimothy (Amanda) Jones, Maysville, KY; one daughter, Stephanie (Ramon) Rigby, Gadsden, AL; she leaves behind eight grandchildren, Nyirah Jones, Amiah Jones, Kianna Jones, Johnny (Cam) Stevenson, Serenity Jones, Athena Jones, Lutimothy Jones, Jr., and Ilithyia Jones; father, J. D. Jones, Gadsden, AL; three sisters, Luvan (Milton) Gilliham,  Montgomery, AL, Lozella (Ben) Pryor, and Gloria Jean Jones both of Gadsden, AL; three very special nieces, Latoria Jones, Frances Jones, and Ronda Jones all of Gadsden, AL; and a host of family and friends to cherish her memories.
