With heartfelt sympathy, we announce Mr. Earmon Madden's passing, of Gadsden, AL, who transitioned on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at the age of 91.  We ask that you keep the Madden family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Earmon Madden, Sr. was born to the union of Allen and Lillian Madden on October 6, 1929, in Talladega County, Alabama.  He married the love of his, Lucy P. Mays on July 29, 1954.  

He accepted Christ and served the Damascus Baptist as a Deacon for many years.  He worked at Alagasco for 40 years.

On August 20, 2021, Deacon Madden departed this life.  He was preceded in death by a son, Fred A. Madden, and a daughter, Sharma D. Madden.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and a great prayer warrior who knew the words of prayer.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his wife of 67 years, Mrs. Lucy P. Madden; children, two sons, Earmon Madden, Jr., of Atlanta, GA, and Pastor Timothy L. (Iris) Madden, Gadsden, Alabama, and one daughter and his primary caregiver, Marnita Madden of Gadsden, Alabama; grandchildren, Candice Madden and Kamilah Madden, Atlanta, GA, Timethia (Timothy) Madden-Ragland Darius Haley and Cicily Bacop of Gadsden, and Timothy L. Madden, Jr., Huntsville, Alabama. two brothers-in-law, Fred Ledford and Eldred Mays of Pell City, Alabama.  He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Lucy, so sorry to hear of Earmon's passing. I worked with him for years in the Gadsden Office. He was a great employee and friend. Prayers for you and your family
